About the Role

Inspire and prepare scholars with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams, contribute to community, and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in Medical Terminology for the Medical Office Administrative Assistant program in partnership with Hired. This role involves up to 48 hours of instruction (12 hours per cohort) across four cohorts from September 2026 to June 2027, plus 24 hours of prep/non-contact time (6 hours per cohort), totaling up to 72 hours of paid staff time.

The September 2026 cohort will be held in person from 9:30–11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 15–October 1, 2026. Future cohorts will be scheduled later. Curriculum and lesson plans are provided via Google Classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess curriculum in Medical Terminology according to district guidelines.
  • Make equitable use of instructional resources and technologies.
  • Maintain contact and communication with scholars’ guardians/caregivers to support scholar development.
  • Collaborate with peers on curriculum and lesson plans tailored for adult students.
  • Participate in district and building leadership activities.
  • Adhere to district, school, and program goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • MN teaching license (current or willingness/eligibility to apply for a Tier 1 or 2 license). Additional licensing details available at the MN Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with adult students.
  • Willingness to collaborate on curriculum and lesson plan development for adult learners.

Pay

Hourly rate: $36.74 – $49.07 (pro rata based on Schedule B for the Teachers bargaining unit).
