Hourly Research Assistant PRN
Job Summary
Location: Hurricane, Utah and Price, Utah.
Our research team is hiring part-time community-based research assistants to conduct direct observation data collection for the Building Healthy Families program. This is a part-time, hourly position that will require training and weekly attendance at program sessions for 5-10 hours per week, with a combination of daytime and evening hours. The required training and weekly meetings with the research team will be virtual and are paid. Data collection requires attendance at the weekly BHF sessions on the day and at the time your community is offering the program. The successful candidate will support direct observation data collection and reporting for the Building Healthy Families program being provided by your local community.
Responsibilities
- Attend weekly BHF sessions in your local community (in person), typically in the evening
- Conduct direct observation using standardized tools and protocols
- Record and submit data accurately and on time
- Participate in paid virtual training (August 2026) and weekly check-ins via Zoom typically during the day
- Communicate effectively with program staff and the research team
- Maintain confidentiality and follow research ethics and safety protocols
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- ≤ 2 years in health, health education, nursing, or a related field
- Comfortable using MS Office & Zoom
- Reliable transportation required
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Additional Information: The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems (“URS”). Eligible new hires with prior URS service, may elect to enroll in URS if they make the election before they become eligible for retirement (usually the first day of work).
