HOURLY PRODUCTION - Monoshell Operator

Responsibilities

• Work as a multi-functional team member to build a shelled pattern using Product Criteria and Robots.
• Clean work area and Robot cell area, including sweeping and mopping the floor.
• Assemble a hanger of molds.
• Maintain expected quality levels.
• Enter and retrieve data into the computer system.
• Apply latex spray when necessary.
• Help out in other areas as needed.

Essential Functions

• Read and interpret Product Criteria (PC) and Activity Instructions (AI).
• Function as a member of a team and work under general supervision.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Have basic knowledge of computers.
• Have adequate computer skills to enter and retrieve data.

Job responsibilities and duties

• Auto-line Load: Load patterns onto line using light weight manipulator, input necessary data into computer, apply latex spray when necessary, maintain auto line materials.
• Robot 7 Load: Input necessary data into computer, apply latex spray when necessary, maintain Robot 7 materials, core-fill or hand dip as needed, maintain Primary cabana organization.
• Robot 8: Pull molds when required out of Primary cabana to load, input necessary data into computer, maintain Robot 8 materials, apply bracing as needed, maintain Back up cabana organization.
• Collar Grind: Unload molds, pull necessary data out of computer, carefully remove gasket, maintain wheelabrator, employ additional support as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Required Testing: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents. Candidates MUST pass with a Level 4 or higher on ALL tests.
• Preferred Qualifications: Able to demonstrate 2 years of full-time continuous work experience with the same employer OR 6 months of manufacturing experience.

Physical Demands

• Occasional bending, reaching, pushing and pulling when retrieving and moving various items.
• Lifting intermittently. Typically, assistance would be provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds.
• Good manual dexterity - position may require more than eight hours daily and more than five days weekly to complete work assignments.
• Squatting / crouching when retrieving stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, making equipment / product inspections, etc.
• Standing approximately 80% of their shift.
• Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required.
