Hourly Caregiver | Cumberland County, PA

About the role

We’re looking for experienced caregivers who want to build lasting relationships with clients and become trusted members of their care team. Reliability and communication are just as important as compassion.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and meaningful engagement
• Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Medication reminders
• Mobility and safety assistance
• Transportation to appointments, errands, or activities
• Following individualized care plans
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s needs
• Communicating appropriately with the office
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
• Creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for each client

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience caring for older adults
• High School Diploma or GED
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid car insurance
• Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screenings
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Three strong professional references

Preferred qualifications

• Previous in-home caregiving experience
• Experience with personal care
• Experience working with clients with dementia or other age-related conditions
• Experience communicating with families and care teams

Schedule

• Daytime, evening, and overnight shifts available
• Most shifts fall between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
• Occasional overnight opportunities may also be available
• Schedules vary based on client needs; commitment to accepted shifts is required
