About the role

As a Guest Service Associate at Towne Park, you’ll provide exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Your role includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, assisting with luggage, and delivering outstanding guest experiences that create smiles and make an impact.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time).
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using a professional and friendly approach, including using guest last names during interactions.
  • Uses salutation of the day, welcomes guests to the location, and practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette (10% of time).
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously (20% of time).
  • Assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, and opening vehicle and hotel doors.
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries (10% of time).
  • Provides guests with information about facility amenities, meeting rooms, outlets, and local attractions.
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested, and shuttles guests to approved locations.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures, issues claim checks, and maintains accurate ticket information (35% of time).
  • Completes key tags with location details, performs damage surveys, and calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work (or within commutable distance).
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English, including simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using units of American money.
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems, as well as rates applicable to time passed.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in parallel parking.

Pay

$10.98 per hour plus $6–$7 per hour in tips.

PM shifts.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk or hear, and frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods, including running, walking, and handling objects.
  • Must be able to climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • The majority of work is performed outdoors for extended periods, including exposure to extreme heat and cold weather.
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required.
