About the role

The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and delivering outstanding guest experiences during arrival and departure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time)
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet; uses guest last names during interactions
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper phone etiquette
  • Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks (10% of time)
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously (20% of time)
  • Assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, and opening vehicle/hotel doors
  • Provides guests with directions, taxi assistance, reservations, and facility/amenity information (10% of time)
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues and collects claim checks (35% of time)
  • Completes and maintains all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment (or commutable distance)
  • One month of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English; perform basic arithmetic operations
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Understanding of 24-hour/military time systems and applicable rates
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable)
  • Proficiency in parallel parking

Pay

Hourly base pay of $12 per hour plus $5–$10 per hour in tips.

Schedule

Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.

Working Conditions

  • Majority of work performed outdoors for extended periods, including entire shifts
  • Exposure to extreme heat and cold weather conditions
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, run, handle objects, and reach with hands/arms
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required
