Hotel Shuttle Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Shuttle Driver to join our team at Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville Airport. As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport hotel guests to and from designated locations in a safe and timely manner. Additionally, this person will assist the housekeeping team with room cleaning tasks and maintaining public areas during quieter periods.

Responsibilities

• Drive the hotel shuttle van to transport guests
• Maintain the shuttle van including washing windows, keeping it filled with gasoline, and removing trash
• Take arrivals list to verify guests' names and length of stay
• Follow all traffic laws diligently; report any accidents or incidents immediately
• Engage with guests to create a positive first impression and set the tone for their stay
• Refrain from gum chewing, eating, drinking, or smoking in the shuttle van
• Maintain low radio volume to facilitate guest conversations
• Always wear a seatbelt and encourage guests to do the same
• Do not use the shuttle van for personal errands
• Support the housekeeping department by assisting with room cleaning and maintaining public areas during quieter periods

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Satisfactory criminal background screening
• Dependable and customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills

Hotel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods, walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule

This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel, including nights and weekends.
