Responsibilities
- Transportation Services: Provide a safe and timely shuttle service to guests, transporting them to airports, attractions, business centers, or other designated locations.
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, provide information about the local area, and answer questions about hotel services and amenities. Address and resolve any guest concerns or special requests during transit.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect the vehicle before and after each trip to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or damage promptly and schedule regular maintenance or repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety. Maintain a valid driver’s license and any required certifications (e.g., commercial driving license, if applicable).
- Record-Keeping: Log trip details, including mileage, destinations, and passenger counts. Keep records of maintenance schedules and fuel expenses if required.
- Cleaning and Presentation: Ensure the shuttle vehicle is clean, organized, and stocked with any amenities (e.g., bottled water, brochures). Maintain a professional appearance and provide a friendly, welcoming experience for guests.
- Coordination with Hotel Staff: Communicate with the front desk to coordinate shuttle schedules and guest pickups. Adapt to changes in guest schedules or special transportation requests.
- Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle emergencies or unexpected situations, such as accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or medical incidents, in a calm and professional manner. Promote the hotel’s services and offerings during interactions with guests.
- Punctuality and Reliability: Ensure timely pick-ups and drop-offs according to the schedule, avoiding unnecessary delays.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle (e.g., Class C or CDL if driving larger vans or buses).
- Clean Driving Record: No recent traffic violations, accidents, or driving-related criminal offenses.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Demonstrated Experience: Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.
