At Residence Inn/Courtyard by Marriott, we strive to create a welcoming environment where guests feel at home. As a Maintenance Technician / Hotel Engineer, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining guest suites and public areas to brand standards, ensuring comfort, safety, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain guest suites and public areas to Residence Inn/Courtyard and Marriott brand standards
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently, minimizing guest impact and downtime
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support the extended-stay environment
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests
• Collaborate with hotel leadership and teammates to support smooth daily operations
• Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel, apartment complex, residential facility, or similar environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
• Experience with wall covering and wallpaper repair or installation preferred
• Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
• Excellent communication skills with a professional, guest-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks
