Responsibilities
- Maintain guest suites and public areas to Residence Inn/Courtyard and Marriott brand standards, ensuring comfort, safety, and reliability
- Diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently, minimizing guest impact and downtime
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support the extended-stay environment our guests rely on
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, always striving to “Make It Right”
- Collaborate with hotel leadership and teammates to support smooth daily operations
- Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel, apartment complex, residential facility, or similar environment (required)
- Availability to work various shifts as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with wall covering and wallpaper repair or installation preferred
- Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, guest-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Strong attention to detail and observation skills
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks
