Hotel Maintenance (PT)

About the role

Bardstown Motor Lodge is looking for a Hotel General Maintenance Technician (PT). The Hotel Maintenance (PT) position entails maintaining the physical environment (inside/outside) for assigned buildings, executing work orders, performing landscaping duties, servicing the pool, and ensuring the building is clean and stocked with supplies. Weyland Ventures, a multi-disciplinary real estate development firm known for creating unique mixed-use properties in urban areas across the nation, employs experts in historic tax credits, new market credits, and other layered financing methods to tackle tough projects that incorporate residential, commercial, retail, and entertainment venues while preserving community heritage.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance of electrical systems (replacing light bulbs, ballast, outlets, switches)
• Maintains heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Provides preventative maintenance of HVAC systems (air handler coils cleaned, replace filters and belts)
• Conducts general upkeep (landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, appliances, drywall, windows, etc.)
• Performs manual repairs when necessary
• Keeps the pool clean and up to safety standards
• Reports any unsafe conditions to Management
• Conducts preventative maintenance throughout property including guest rooms, public spaces, kitchen, restaurant, storage, and office areas
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or GED required
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred but not required
• Weekend availability
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Deadline, detail and customer service‑oriented
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
