Hotel Maintenance / Engineer (Third Shift)

About the role

The Dunlin, part of the Auberge Collection, is a boutique luxury retreat located on 2,000 picturesque acres in Kiawah River, South Carolina. Offering 72 cottage-style guest rooms and suites, the property features 20 miles of riverfront and scenic nature trails, along with two Auberge dining concepts and a destination spa.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and other fixtures to ensure functionality and safety.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment, facilities, and guest rooms, addressing problems promptly to minimize downtime and inconvenience.
• Conduct repairs on hotel property, such as fixing leaks, replacing broken fixtures, and repairing damaged furniture or equipment, to maintain the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the property.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, identifying potential hazards and taking corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, or elevator malfunctions, to quickly resolve issues and minimize disruptions to guest services.

Qualifications

• Experience serving as a technician or engineer within a hotel or property management preferred.
• Experience with power tools use and safety.
• Able to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture, and warning labels.
• Able to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to work some PM shifts is required.

Pay

$22 - $24 / hour, commensurate with experience

Work overnight: 10:30 pm - 7 am
