Hotel Maintenance Engineer - Chandler

About the role

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel is seeking an experienced Hotel Maintenance person to join our team. Located in Chandler, a Southeast suburb of Phoenix, this hotel offers 264 guest rooms and over 21,000 sq ft of event space, including the largest ballroom in Chandler, AZ. Proof ’19 features handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and Southwest cuisine, while Starbucks Café serves a morning pick-me-up and variety of breakfast options. The hotel is situated in the Price Road Corridor, near major employers.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Makes repairs on plumbing fixtures, piping, drains, and sanitary systems.
• Repairs woodwork, wall vinyl, doors, and windows.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, and automotive equipment.
• Keeps records as required by company policy and procedures.
• Maintains logs on completed tasks.
• Prepares reports as requested by supervisors.
• Sets up and maintains preventative maintenance program.
• Submits all requested reports/logs in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Experience working in a Maintenance role at a hotel or resort.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• An engaging and welcoming personality.
• A strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
