Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems
• Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized repairs and installations
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment maintenance logs
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
• Support energy-saving initiatives and contribute to sustainable hotel operations

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or similar role in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions efficiently
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Familiarity with safety and building codes
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or facilities management (preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge and at least 1 year prior experience in relevant field (preferred)
• Electrical, plumbing and carpentry experience (preferred)
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Certification or experience in industrial electrician work (preferred)
• Customer service experience in a field service setting
