Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the hotel. This leader manages the housekeeping and laundry departments efficiently and controls costs by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments
• Ensure all cleaning staff adhere to established cleaning procedures and standards
• Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Monitor and control costs associated with housekeeping services
• Train and develop housekeeping staff
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure guest satisfaction
• Collaborate with other departments to maintain a clean and welcoming environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospitality setting
• Experience managing housekeeping and laundry departments
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required to transport supplies)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of hotel operations and housekeeping standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
