Hotel Housekeeper

University Staff – Regular position at the Fluno Center, Wisconsin Union.

About the role

Hotel Housekeeper responsible for cleanliness and sanitation standards at the Fluno Center. This position involves direct customer contact and requires excellent customer service abilities. Works under the supervision of the hotel housekeeping supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms as assigned and according to guest requests
• Directs relations and interactions with customers to accommodate their needs
• Documents and reports repairs, violations, and other building needs
• Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment; requests additional supplies as needed
• Cleans and maintains hallways and common guest areas

Requirements

• Ability to pass all physical demands including:
  • Lifting: Occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Carrying: Occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing: Frequently up to 50 lbs
  • Pulling: Frequently up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (preferred)
• Previous housekeeping experience of over 3 months (preferred)
• Held a position for more than 3 months (preferred)

Pay

Starting at $17.51 per hour, plus:

• Additional $0.80 per hour for hours worked on Saturday and Sunday
• Additional $2.50 per hour for night hours worked (6 pm – 6 am)
• Time and a half per hour for hours worked on designated legal holidays

Schedule

Thursday – Monday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (2 positions open; applicant will be considered for both).
