Hotel General Manager

About the role

The Hotel General Manager (GM) leads all aspects of the hotel’s operations, ensuring financial success, guest satisfaction, and team development while upholding our mission, vision, and values. This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive, self-starting individual with 24/7 availability to ensure excellence across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, including housekeeping, food & beverage, and front desk services.
• Manage staff performance and conduct regular one-on-one meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with other hotel management teams to coordinate events and special programs.
• Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
• Conduct nightly shift handovers and morning briefings.
• Prepare and present monthly reports to upper management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a similar role.
• Proven track record of successful leadership and problem-solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with guests, colleagues, and vendors.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of 10+ employees.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, including housekeeping, food & beverage, and front desk services.
