We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Hotel General Manager to lead the #1 rated, Chairman Award winning AC Hotel by Marriott in Bridgewater, NJ. Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Create a vibrant, engaging atmosphere by leading with enthusiasm, professionalism, and authenticity.
- Foster a culture of engagement at every level while attracting, developing, and retaining top hospitality talent.
- Lead by example—setting high standards in appearance, behavior, and service excellence.
- Maintain high visibility during peak operational hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Empower associates to channel their passion and enthusiasm to positively influence guests and colleagues.
- Build meaningful connections with guests by being thoughtful, adaptable, and present.
Guest Experience & Operations
- Consistently exceed guest expectations through exceptional service and memorable experiences.
- Maintain a spotless, well-maintained, and brand-compliant property.
- Actively engage with guests to gather feedback, strengthen relationships, and enhance satisfaction.
- Ensure full compliance with Marriott brand standards and service behaviors.
- Partner with Bradford Rooftop Management for seamless guest experience and operational excellence.
Financial Performance
- Prepare and execute annual operating budgets, sales, and marketing plans to achieve targeted results.
- Analyze financial performance to drive revenue growth, profitability, and return on investment.
- Leverage technology platforms and distribution channels to maximize market share.
- Lead capital planning and asset management initiatives in partnership with senior leadership.
People & Talent Development
- Develop and implement programs that enhance team member engagement and performance.
- Establish succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Set clear performance and development goals; provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
- Oversee staffing, compensation, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
Responsible Business & Community Engagement
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, and hotel assets.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and public relations representative within the local community.
- Encourage and support team involvement in community organizations and initiatives.
Requirements
- Previous Hotel General Manager experience, or 3+ years as an Assistant General Manager at a Marriott or Hilton branded property.
- Preferred: Prior brand experience.
- Plus: Previous experience in the local or similar market.
