Hotel Front Desk/PBX Agent

About the role

This position involves handling guest registration and room assignments, resolving customer complaints, and assisting with various inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests.
• Pre-register, block reservations, and take same-day and future reservations following hotel rate structures, discounts, and sell strategies.
• Check-in and check-out guests efficiently and courteously, adhering to hotel credit/cash handling policies.
• Resolve customer complaints and assist with inquiries related to hotel services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc.
• Cancel room reservations according to procedures.
• Walk guests professionally and courteously according to procedures.
• Work in the PBX department.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Experience required by the position is from three months to one full year of employment in a related position with this Company or other organizations.
• A working knowledge of Marriott’s/Columbia Sussex’s services, policies, or operations.
• A general knowledge of the hotel.
• A working knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system.
• Knowledge of and ability to speak English. A second language is preferred.
