About the Role

Hotel Food & Beverage Cast Members bring the Magic of Disney Dining to our Resort Hotels. Bartenders at the Disneyland Resort serve hand-crafted, specialty, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to Guests, share recommendations and drink pairings, possess a strong knowledge of wine and spirits, and maintain the cleanliness of the bar and service area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide over-the-top Guest Service to all Guests
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar following standard recipes
  • Possess a strong knowledge of traditional cocktails, specialty drinks, wine, liquor, and beer
  • Serve multiple Guests at bar and cocktail servers at server stations
  • Take drink orders, enter order in POS system, deliver order to Guests, and follow up with guest service and needs
  • Hold extensive conversations with Guests, providing exemplary service, while having a genuine sense of interest
  • Maintain the bar area including cleaning, sanitizing, setting up, and breaking down as needed
  • Replenish stock of supplies and alcohol items, transporting supplies carefully from storage areas to the bar
  • Maintain a cash drawer and perform cash handling responsibilities
  • Interact with and answer any questions for Guests in the bar and restaurant area

Requirements

  • You must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for this role
  • 2+ years bartending experience at a high-volume, full bar environment
  • 1+ years of high-end restaurant experience
  • Strong knowledge of wine and spirits
  • Willing to take initiative to actively greet and welcome Guests
  • Knowledge of food presentation and quality standards
  • Demonstrated excellent Guest Service and service recovery abilities
  • Sense of urgency and desire to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment
  • Initiative to own and resolve Guest situations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years bartending in a high-end restaurant environment
  • 1+ years in a 4/5 Star Hotel or Resort
  • Knowledge of Forbes standards
  • Alcohol Awareness Training (i.e. RVP, TIPS or equivalent)

Pay

The pay rate for this role in California is $21.13 per hour, plus tips.

Schedule

Our Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am, or 5:00am. Scheduling will require availability to work weekends, holidays, and have a flexible schedule when business requires.
