Hot Rod Technician - Fabricator

About the role

Devlin Rod And Customs is an award-winning hot rod and custom fabrication shop located in Wichita, Kansas. We specialize in full builds all the way down to servicing custom and classic cars. Our shop has been in business for over 20 years and works on anything from early hot rods, restorations, resto-mods, trucks and four-wheel drives. Everything we do is based on quality and not quantity.

Responsibilities

• Range from tear down of builds to final assembly
• Communicate with management to obtain parts, assess and advise on additional problems during the build
• Document the entire process through daily time sheets and photographs
• Handle multiple projects at a time while keeping a high attention to detail
• Sheet metal shaping abilities and knowledge of shaping equipment
• MIG and preferably TIG welding proficiency
• Strong understanding of powertrain systems and automotive electrical systems
• Customer service skills are a plus as you will need to communicate with clients when necessary
• Detail oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• Two plus years of experience in a hot rod shop or similar environment
• Sheet metal shaping abilities and knowledge of shaping equipment
• MIG and preferably TIG welding proficiency
• Strong understanding of powertrain systems and automotive electrical systems
• Customer service skills are a plus
• Valid driver's license
