Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, beverage equipment etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity
- Install, replace, and commission refrigeration systems as needed
- Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and preventative maintenance plans
- Maintain EPA compliance and adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations
- Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked
- Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and professional manner
- Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service
- Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in commercial refrigeration service (preferred)
- EPA Universal Certification required
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, airflow systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Experience working on commercial kitchen equipment is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. and work in varying indoor / outdoor conditions
- Ability to climb ladders, work from heights, and crawl in tight quarters
- Own industry standard hand tools
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Pay
$30-$50 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience level, technical certifications, skill set, and overall qualifications. Candidates with advanced commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, manufacturer certifications, or specialized expertise may be considered at the higher end of the range.
