About the role
Orchid Court offers hearty breakfast options and an extensive island buffet. Guests can grab a cappuccino at the Orchid Court bar or take their time over our mouthwatering breakfast buffet, featuring a made-to-order omelet station, classic dishes, Hawaiian go-tos, fresh pastries and seasonal fresh fruit.
Responsibilities
- Provide unique dining experiences to all guests through warm, personal and detailed service in a luxury, upscale and fast-paced environment.
- Ensure a positive first impression of the restaurant through detailed cleanliness, set-up and ambiance control.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, contents and preparation methods, outlets and hotel services/features.
- Up-sell and promote food and beverage offers at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
- Pick up and serve food and beverage orders promptly once they are ready.
- Remember individual patron’s names and preferences to extend personalized service.
- Ensure all food and beverage are served according to service standards.
- Clear and tidy up tables after the departure of patrons as quickly as possible.
- Perform opening/closing side duties as assigned and set all tables according to standards and procedures.
- Assist other Food & Beverage outlets during peak times or when required.
- Apply necessary precautions regarding hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Be well-versed in hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by hotel management.
Requirements
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.
- Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Detailed and service-oriented with an eye for detail; self-motivated and energetic.
- Provide necessary State and Federal Requirements to work in Food and Beverage (Tuberculosis Clearance).
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining U.S. work authorization.
