About the role

As a Holiday Bar Team Member, you’ll play a key role in bringing the spirit of the season to life. You’ll don festive attire and engage guests with cheer—you’re part performer and a full-time holiday ambassador. Your goal is to ensure every guest leaves feeling as if they’ve just stepped out of a Hallmark movie. This role requires wearing holiday themed costumes. Responsibilities include entertaining guests, spreading holiday cheer, and being available for photo opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and take messages/reservations
• Maintain an accurate wait list when necessary
• Welcome guests on arrival and bid goodbye on departure to create a lasting positive experience
• Greet guests in a friendly, upbeat manner with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with all guests
• Communicate problems to management immediately
• Coordinate seating arrangements to provide fast and courteous service
• Perform occasional bussing of tables to expedite efficient seating of waiting guests
• Anticipate needs of scheduled special parties

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience with customer service and/or hosting
• Must speak fluent English; other languages preferred
• Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties
• Reading and writing abilities for recording and reviewing reservations and table assignment systems
• Ability to read, review, and understand seating charts
• Basic mathematical skills used frequently
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Strong attention to detail

Physical requirements

• Carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Handle objects (including food and utensils), products, speak over and operate phones
• Stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
• Remain in one location at either the entrance or exit of the venue for long periods
• Safely and efficiently move about the entire facility
