Host Reports to: General Manager Job Type: Seasonal, Hourly, Full Time & Part Time Job Summary First impressions count! As the first point of contact here at the iconic Pier Restaurant, our hosts set the stage for a great guest experience. Duties & Responsibilities Demonstrate genuine hospitality for an exceptional dining experience by making every guest feel welcomeEngage guests in conversation as you seat themProvide menus, water service and introduce the server to their guestsManage wait lists during volume to set guest expectationsSpeak courteously when answering the telephoneCommunicate effectively with servers, bar, kitchen and management on level of businessEnsure all guests are sincerely thanked as they leaveBus and prep tables for service, clearing dishes and glassware and resetting as neededAnswer phone calls and make reservationsMaintain clean and organized entryway, dining room and public areasCommunicate effectively with servers, bar, kitchen and management on level of business Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of ageMust be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be able to stand for at least 5 hours at a timeBasic computer skills requiredExcellent customer service and phone skills Benefits Part Time Benefits: Earned Sick Time (based on eligibility) - 401k with match – Dining and Lodging Discounts
