About the role

Hawksmoor is located in an incredible restaurant space in New York: a beautiful National Historic Landmark built as The United Charities Building in 1893, with an incredible 30-foot ceilinged assembly hall that forms the main room of the restaurant. The location is just off Park Avenue South and north of the prestigious Gramercy Park and Union Square. The restaurant is 170 seats with a 50-cover bar. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, you’ll support the restaurant in providing amazing service and unforgettable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Work within the host team and deliver excellent service and hospitality to the Hawksmoor standard.
• Responsible for the setting up and breaking down of each service on reservations.
• Build excellent rapport with colleagues and guests.
• Act as Maitre D to ensure smooth and successful services.

Requirements

• Experience working with reservations teams at top restaurants and bars in New York.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all departments.
• Professionalism and excellent communication skills.
• Experience with restaurant systems, reservation, event platforms, and technology.
