HOST - Sorella by Giada Part-time

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
• Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable or similar systems)
• Cook up seating to ensure balanced service flow and optimal table turns
• Accurately estimate wait times and communicate updates to guests
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of host stand and lobby area
• Answer phones and respond to guest inquiries
• Manage large parties and VIP guests with professionalism and discretion
• Communicate effectively with management, servers, and kitchen staff
• Aid with coat check, special accommodations, and guest requests
• Monitor dining room capacity and adhere to fire and safety regulations
• Support team members during peak business periods

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous host or guest service experience preferred (fine dining or high-volume restaurant experience a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing high-profile or VIP clientele
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
