Host/Server Assistant

Responsibilities

• Make a memorable first and last impression by greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner.
• Seat guests in the dining and bar areas, ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.
• Coordinate the wait and seat guests with a sense of urgency.
• Engage in genuine conversations with guests while maintaining a smile.
• Possess a general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products.
• Answer the phone promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed.
• Assist throughout the restaurant as a team player: bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, and ensuring every opportunity to WOW a customer is completed.
• Lead the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards.
• Commit to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods of time while performing essential job duties.
• For California-based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certification required (can be completed during training and up to 60 days after start date).
