Host - Restaurant

About the Role

The Yardley Inn, a member of Genesis Hospitality, is a high-volume and fine-dining restaurant seeking experienced and team-oriented candidates for the Host/Hostess position. This is a part-time role requiring availability on weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor open dining sections for empty and cleaned tables.
• Estimate wait times for guests and manage the guest waiting list.
• Ensure waiting guests are comfortable and informed about their order status or wait times.
• Answer telephone calls, book reservations, and rearrange tables to accommodate large parties.
• Escort guests to available tables in the dining room.
• Take drink orders and relay information to the responsible food server once guests are seated.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and focus.

Working Conditions
