Host Person - Jayde Full Time

Major Job Duties

• Properly present clean menus to our guests.
• Collect and inspect all menus, discarding the worn ones.
• Maintain the professional appearance of the hostess stand.
• Supply guests with information on services available at the Hotel/Casino, including all of our restaurants.
• Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting.
• Answer telephone at the hostess stand.
• Monitor the performance and completion of sidework.
• Handle initial guest complaints.
• Inform manager on duty immediately of any problems or concerns.
• Assure smooth transition during shift changes.
• Ensure that tables are properly set to start each shift.
• Assist the manager with breaks.
• Must provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and team members.
• Perform related work as requested.

Experience

• Experience in high volume full service restaurant.
• Good organizational and people skills are required.

Educational Background

• High School Diploma or GED.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to present self in a professional, pleasant, confident and well groomed manner.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with guests and team members.
• Full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules, policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Additional Information

• MMS and Micros experience preferred.
• Clark County Health Card, Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card required.
