About the role
Provide a warm, friendly first impression by greeting guests as they arrive, answering questions, and making them feel comfortable. Manage seating charts, maintain organized waitlists, escort guests to tables, provide menus, and inform guests of estimated wait times. Handle reservations and coordinate with staff to optimize table turnover.
Throughout the dining experience, monitor guest needs, address concerns promptly, and ensure satisfaction. Assist with special events, large groups, or promotions.
Keep the entrance, host stand, and dining areas clean and organized. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning menus, glasses, and ensuring restrooms are stocked and orderly. Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain smooth service, relay orders, update staff on guest arrivals, and assist in coordinating service flow.
Answer phones, take reservations, handle take-out orders, explain menu items, and perform cashier duties.
