Host - Part-Time (Tipped) - Universal Horror Unleashed

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivering best in class guest experience by providing prompt, friendly, and courteous assistances to guests, answering questions and directing them within the Universal Horror Unleashed restaurant. Must be familiar with various restaurant cuisines, basic menu offerings, dietary restrictions, and allergies. Maintains knowledgeable of the seating chart and manages the waiting list.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome and greet guests, accommodate guests with special needs, quote wait times, maintain an efficient wait list, direct guests to appropriate waiting areas and take reservations.
• Escorts guests to table, reviews menu specials and provide guests with menus.
• Answers questions about the specific food operation and possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products served.
• Captures the orderly movement of people by monitoring table turns, walking the dining room, managing seating plans and understanding service capacities.
• Assists Server Assistants in cleaning and resetting tables. Keeps restaurant/area clean and free of litter at all times.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Any local or state required certifications or licenses.

EDUCATION

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years of food and beverage industry experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
