Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
• Help create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promote a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills; get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience, and possess an interest in people.
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared.
• Supervise the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Help train new food-service team members.
• Supervise the closing of the assigned dining room; ensure side work and station setup is properly completed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and help evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or other emergency.
• Assist with service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• May be asked to operate equipment, including but not limited to fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events or functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:

• The use of medium-weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
• The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
• The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

• Previous restaurant experience is required.

Schedule

Seasonal; Wednesday through Monday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Friday through Sunday, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. More details upon interview.

Pay

Fixed pay rate: $15.00 per hour.
