Host/Hostess - Sea Smoke

Job Duties

• Greets guest entering the restaurant
• Assists with coats, hats, umbrella (in cold or wet weather)
• Accompanies guests to tables carrying drinks on trays when possible, handing out menus
• Maintains conditions and flow of service, adjusting seating and stations as needed
• Communicates significant matters to supervisor and assists in corrective action
• Performs helpful chores like bussing and resetting tables
• Answers phone using proper greeting and etiquette, asks for phone # and email, and gathers guest needs and directions
• Uses OpenTable to gather and record reservation data
• Learns and acknowledges returning guests, recommends other restaurants and departments
• Takes reservations, considering current bookings and guest preferences
• Sells gift cards, collects payment
• Takes to-go orders, assembles, checks orders for accuracy, and collects payment
• Balances cashiers' bank, maintaining balance of deposits and base bank
• Routinely checks restrooms for cleanliness and restock
• Thanks and invites guests for a return visit

Pay

Hourly Range - $16.00-$18.00
