Host/Hostess - Part Time
About the role
Part-time position with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, including every Saturday. The Host/Hostess acts as the liaison between patients and food service and nutrition teams, coordinating patient nutritional needs between nursing units, dieticians, and kitchen staff. Responsibilities include assisting patients with room service when appropriate and delivering meal trays to assigned patients.

- Provide a high-quality dining experience to patients that meets their nutritional requirements and service expectations.
- Coordinate patient nutritional needs between nursing units, dieticians, and kitchen staff.
- Assist patients with room service when appropriate.
- Deliver meal trays to assigned patients.
- Engage in daily patient interactions to ensure service excellence.
Requirements
- Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and proficiently.
- GED or High School Diploma preferred.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a customer service position.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a food service establishment.
- Working knowledge of a PC and Microsoft Windows.
- Participates in orientation and continuing education.
- Updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Work Environment and Hazards
Industrial and clinical setting – Exposure Class I or II.
Physical Demands
Light to medium work involving standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling.
Pay
Pay range: $16.20 – $23.50 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
