About the role

The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a warm, refined, and memorable first impression for all guests dining at Monarch. This role manages reservations, seating flow, and guest interactions while ensuring a seamless and elevated arrival experience. The Host/Hostess embodies the hotel’s commitment to luxury service through professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with a warm, professional, and polished demeanor upon arrival
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments to ensure optimal seating flow and guest satisfaction
• Escort guests to tables while providing an engaging and personalized introduction to the dining experience
• Maintain accurate knowledge of table status, availability, and pacing of service
• Communicate effectively with servers, management, and kitchen teams to support seamless operations
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences with care and attention to detail
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and reception areas
• Monitor restaurant ambiance including lighting, music, and overall presentation
• Support service recovery by addressing minor guest concerns and escalating issues when necessary
• Assist with coordination of VIP guests, special events
