Host/Hostess

About the role

Woodfield Country Club in Boca Raton is seeking an experienced Host/Hostess for our dining venues. The Host/Hostess oversees and coordinates the activities of dining room employees while providing courteous and rapid service to members and guests. Prior customer service experience in an upscale club, restaurant, hotel, or resort environment is preferred. An outgoing personality and excellent communication skills are required. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Part-time hours are available.

Responsibilities

• Immediately greet all members and guests upon arrival.
• Engage members in conversation to ascertain their seating preferences.
• Build relationships, recognize membership by name, and retain member preferences.
• Escort members and guests to their table.
• Monitor the flow of service throughout the dining venue and communicate with manager/supervisor to coordinate incoming reservations and table re-sets.
• Manage cover counts per server to ensure balance of service and equal earning potential.
• Maintain an accurate and updated floor plan, records of service, and other administrative duties as assigned.
• Schedule and book dining reservations through concierge.

Requirements

• Excellent service orientation and communication skills.
• Previous experience in an upscale restaurant, hotel, or country club environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of JONAS (preferred).
• Evening availability required.
