Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 4 pm–8 pm and Sunday 11 am–3 pm.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat residents and guests in a professional, courteous manner
• Supervise the activities of service staff in the dining room to ensure proper service and sanitation procedures are followed
• Maintain a professional management approach in the training and supervision of staff, following established procedures
• Assist in training new service employees on proper dining room etiquette
• Handle all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards
• Perform and assist with pouring/providing beverages and other service and bussing functions as necessary
• Monitor seating flow, dining room services, and food availability to ensure prompt and courteous service
• Confer with the Manager on Duty on any unusual problems or requests
• Supervise the closing of the Main Dining Room
• Oversee and assist with side work including cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Occasionally act as supervisor to close the department for the shift
• Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of the immediate work environment
• Attend annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know laws, and fire and safety
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress (preferred)
• Understanding of fine dining etiquette (preferred)
• Teamwork and professionalism with a positive attitude
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Serve Safe Certified (preferred)
