Host/Hostess

Responsibilities

• Work with guests when they arrive and leave
• Thank guests for their patronage when they leave
• Communicate with guests while they wait for their order
• Ensure the host area is completely and consistently clean
• Be available to answer calls and greet guests
• Provide assistance to servers
• Schedule reservations for guests in person and over the phone
• Communicate with supervisors or management on customer issues
• Handle complaints from clients courteously and professionally
• Maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor
• Manage inventory and supply needs
• Address all issues related to guest service

Requirements

• Experience in hospitality or related fields (preferred)
• IT skills in MS Excel and MS Word
• Top-notch communication skills in the local language (written and verbal)
• Ability to properly maintain inventory
• Competence in filling guests' supplies
• Ability to manage client complaints
• Ability to relate well with other staff members
• Consistent cleanliness of the dining room serving stations
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to handle calls diplomatically
• Knowledge of room, restaurant, and bar services

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule that accommodates shifts including day, night, and weekend availability
• Ability to commute to Leawood, KS
• Two years of experience in customer service (preferred)

Pay

Hourly rate up to $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
