About the role

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for a welcoming and memorable dining experience. This role requires friendliness, organization, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations at the front door and dining room.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm, setting a positive tone.
• Manage the waitlist and reservations efficiently.
• Seat guests according to table availability and flow of service.
• Assist with running food, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Answer phone calls and provide guests with information about the restaurant and wait times.
• Work as part of a team-service approach, collaborating with colleagues to maintain a stress-free and engaging work environment.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor, embodying Nick's values of Excellence, Teamwork, Respect, and Accountability.

Requirements

• A friendly, welcoming personality with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage and maintain reservations on a digital platform.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to assist in various FOH tasks as needed.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for extended periods (6-10 hours per shift).
• Navigating a busy dining area while maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
• Lifting and carrying small trays, menus, and other materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Performing repetitive motions such as bending, reaching, and handling seating charts or reservation systems.
• Engaging with guests and team members in a lively, high-energy atmosphere.

Pay
