About the role

Are you passionate about hospitality and love creating unforgettable first impressions? We’re building an amazing team for a new Contemporary Mexican Restaurant located in Houston, Texas. We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Host/Hostess with previous experience in a full-service or upscale restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, friendly, and memorable first impression for every guest.
• Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure a smooth seating process.
• Communicate effectively with servers and management to maintain an organized dining room.
• Answer guest questions about the restaurant, menu, and wait times.
• Handle incoming phone calls and reservation requests professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
• Assist with guest flow to ensure an exceptional dining experience.
• Provide outstanding hospitality while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but we also welcome individuals eager to learn.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Pay

National pay for hosts is $30,560 median, full year, about $14.69/hr. Top 10 percent earn $42K+.
