Host/Hostess
About the role
The Host is the guest’s first and last point of contact — setting the tone for the entire dining experience. You will guide the flow of the dining room, warmly welcome guests, manage waitlists and reservations, and communicate seamlessly with the service and management teams.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm and professional first impression for every guest
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments with accuracy
- Cook off the dining room and bar
- Coordinate the overall pace and flow of the dining room and bar
- Answer phones, take messages, and assist with takeout orders
- Provide guests with clear and friendly communication at all times
- Support service team members and handle guest requests efficiently
- Maintain organization and cleanliness at the host stand
- Uphold LoLa 41’s service standards and policies
Requirements
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Calm, organized, and professional under pressure
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays — required
- Ability to stand and move for 6–10 hour shifts
- Previous Hospitality Experience Preferred But Not Required
- Proficiency with reservation systems (Resy) a plus
