Host/Hostess

About the role

We are hiring Hosts/Hostesses for a Summer 2026 start date in mid-April. Join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere and deliver exceptional guest experiences at Lago East Bank.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, making them feel comfortable and attended to.
• Learn and use regular guests’ names, preferences, and needs to personalize their experience.
• Manage waitlists by recording guest names, party sizes, and providing accurate wait time estimates; seat guests promptly when tables become available.
• Operate the "open table" program efficiently while balancing guest flow and seating preferences.
• Present menus to seated guests and ensure tables meet our standards for appearance.
• Thank guests as they leave and encourage them to return.
• Assist with running food when necessary.

Requirements

• Experience working with customers or restaurant guests, with a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering great service.
• Excellent English communication and writing skills.
• Comfortable working with computers and restaurant management software.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds if needed.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, outgoing personality.
• Minimum of 2 years of host/hostess experience (required).
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
