Responsibilities
- Satisfy guests by greeting them warmly upon entry and over the phone.
- Guide guests through ordering and payment procedures, exceeding their expectations through exceptional food knowledge and hospitality.
- Solve small problems as they arise and keep guests as happy as possible.
- Ensure compliance with Lawry's appearance standards, guest interaction procedures, table duties, side work, and safety procedures.
- Maintain the "WOW Factor" level of service, professionalism, and positive guest relations.
- Participate in the timely introduction of guests, description of food and beverage selections, verification of meal satisfaction, and assistance with guests' readiness to depart the restaurant.
- Greet and accommodate individual and special needs of guests, maintaining Lawry's standard operating procedures.
- Respect and maintain Company property and assets, adhering to uniform and appearance standards.
- Follow safety procedures to ensure the safety of guests and co-workers.
- Check and stock the front desk regularly with necessary supplies.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Support the VIP Rewards program, checking, cleaning, and restocking restrooms.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with guests and co-workers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Lawry's Restaurants, menu items, and wine, beer, and cocktail pairings.
- Work collaboratively with co-workers, management, vendors, and suppliers.
- Perform administrative tasks and report any damaged or malfunctioning fixtures and equipment to the Manager on duty.
- Notify the Manager on duty of any guest issues or problems.
Requirements
- Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Satisfactory physical and mental health to perform the job requirements.
- Able to stand and walk for up to eight (8) hours during a shift (with limited breaks).
- Able to carry up to 30 lbs. without assistance.
- Able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force without straining.
- Able to sustain repetitive motions of legs, feet, waist, back, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Able to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position to position.
- Basic knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings, as well as proper handling and storage of wines, and use of bottle opener.
- Basic knowledge of beers, spirits, and cocktails.
- Multi-tasking, leading, and communicating with others, capable of expressing and exchanging ideas in spoken and written English in an average manner.
- Establishing rapport in conversational English that is consistent with our fine dining atmosphere.
- Basic math proficiency.
- Reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Show confidence, energy, and enthusiasm with a professional, clean appearance, and a friendly, helpful, approachable demeanor.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, with some college or culinary education beneficial.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings.
- Knowledge of beers, spirits, and cocktails.
- Basic math proficiency.

Schedule
Candidates must have availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
