About Us

HomeGrown is Liberty’s newest breakfast/brunch destination. We believe in “Local when it’s better,” partnering with local food purveyors, dairy farmers, beekeepers, and craftspeople—even our tabletops and booths are made in Kansas City. Since 2017, we’ve grown to five locations (including Brookside) as part of Thrive Restaurant Group, a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience. About the Role

As a Host, you’ll make a difference by welcoming guests with warmth and enthusiasm. You’ll greet arrivals and departures, seat guests, manage guest flow, and ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression. You’ll also assist with payments, accommodate special needs (high chairs, boosters, disabilities), and support servers as needed.

Responsibilities

• Open doors for arriving and departing guests (25%)
• Process payments as cashier (25%)
• Accommodate special guest needs (e.g., high chairs, disabilities) (25%)
• Lead guests to tables and distribute menus (10%)
• Manage the waitlist when the restaurant is full (5%)
• Assist servers as needed (5%)
• Maintain a clean and organized work area (5%)

Requirements

• A desire to care for others, grow, and learn
• A positive attitude
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Mobility throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 15 pounds (e.g., high chairs) up to 15 times per shift
• Capability to wipe down tables, pick up debris, and clean booth seats

Physical Requirements

• Navigate the restaurant and communicate with guests
• Move and grasp items up to 5 pounds regularly
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Bend and stoop
• Adequate vision to assess cleanliness and operate a touchscreen

Pay

Paid the tip credit minimum wage plus tips. Actual take-home pay varies based on availability.
