HOST/HOSTESS
Job Summary
Join AAC as a Host/Hostess and become an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our members and their guests. We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission and core values of Atlanta Athletic Club through exceptional member service.
- Coverage of the dining room before service to identify any deficiencies and ensure proper seating arrangements.
- Review the reservation list and complete any necessary follow-up calls with members.
- Clean, inspect, and prepare menus for service.
- Print and insert nightly specials into menus before each shift.
- Collaborate with the Manager on Duty to develop the server floor plan.
- Participate in pre-shift lineup meetings to review daily operations and service expectations.
- Greet members and guests promptly and escort them to their assigned tables.
- Communicate with servers when members or guests have been seated in their section.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and reception area throughout the shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for 4-6 hours.
- Availability to work a minimum of three shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Maintain a positive attitude and be ready to collaborate effectively with others.
- Demonstrate a willingness to grow as a hospitality expert by actively participating in our training program.
Schedule
Part-Time (15-20 hours/week) based on your availability. Shifts vary based on the needs of the Club and include nights, weekends and holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage: $16 per hour.
- Enjoy a holiday rate of 1.5 times normal pay on Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
- 401k enrollment on day one team member contributions if eligible.
- 401k employer contributions (4%) after one year if eligible.
- Complimentary meals are provided in our team member dining room while on duty.
- Team member appreciation events (including a summer pool party and recognition party).
