Responsibilities

• Receive cash or credit card from customers in payment for goods or services
• Compute bill on P.O.S. System or adding machine, make change, and issue receipt
• May be required to know value of menu items
• Greet and seat patrons
• Coordinate and control the flow of the Restaurant
• Assign stations to servers and bus persons
• Interact between Service Staff and Patrons when difficult situations arise
• Ensure that Service Quality and Standards are followed
• Answer any guest related questions in the Ameristar Standard
• Greet guests to dine in and through the telephone
• Concisely relay information regarding promotions, menu, and reservations to guests
• Handle takeout orders through walk in, telephone, and third-party services
• Perform 30-minute bathroom checks
• Utilize an app-based reservation system to record walk-ins, reservations, and seat guests based on server rotation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have excellent guest service skills
• Able to operate a P.O.S. System and/or adding machine and make change
• Must have basic math skills
• Must be very friendly and outgoing

Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience is helpful
