Position Responsibilities/Duties
- Welcome guests to the venue
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
- Manage reservations
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
- Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress’s name
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Cook up with Front of House staff regarding available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention
- Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries
- Use knowledge of menu to answer guest questions
- Cook up with Front of House staff regarding available seating
- Seat guests, ensuring proper server rotation is maintained
- Process to-go orders quickly and efficiently in the point-of-sale system, handling credit/debit or room/house charge transactions accurately
- Maintain store appearance with respect to merchandising and maintenance standards
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines; comply with all applicable laws
- Responds appropriately to customer concerns
- Ensures a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked host stand
- Aid servers and food runners, as needed
- Must be able to maneuver heavy trays of food
- Perform other duties as assigned
What are we looking for?
We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Required Minimum 18 years of Age
- Previous work experience as a Host/Hostess or Waiter/Waitress
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette
- Experience in managing reservations
- Demonstrable customer-service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area
