Host - DANIEL

About the role

The Host is the first and last point of contact with the guest and is responsible for greeting, seating, and saying goodbye to guests, as well as maintaining the flow of the restaurant during service. They will also take and confirm reservations over the phone, retrieve messages, and return phone calls in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. The Host will report directly to the Service Director and General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Make same-day reservations and confirmation calls
• Fulfill VIP requests
• Handle email inquiries related to Restaurant DANIEL—Relais & Châteaux and other sources
• Respond to requests in the reservations inbox
• Proof same-day and next-day reservations to revise notes, find, and solve problems
• Assist the Management team with various projects

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a Host
• Knowledge of Resy
• Must have weekend availability

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
