About the role

Aloft Austin Downtown offers advanced scheduling and shift swapping capabilities through an app, ideal for those balancing work and personal passions in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and ensure their dining experience is satisfying.
• Assign servers to sections, manage reservations, and seat guests at tables.
• Maintain the restaurant entryway and perform necessary side work and cleaning tasks.
• Promote teamwork and foster a friendly, safe work environment.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Be knowledgeable about all menu items, including preparation methods and garnishes, and answer guest inquiries accurately.
• Process various payment methods.
• Perform additional duties as directed.

Requirements

• An outgoing and sociable personality.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• A passion for service with a positive, can-do attitude.
• The ability to handle high volumes and work under pressure.
• The ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced service-oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
